Request Access ← Back to Port ElysiumPort Elysium is designed to make its own clean power, water and cooling, grow its own food and handle its own waste, with surplus power and water to sell beyond the estate. It also runs its own roads, fleet and fibre network, and watches every system from one control room. Each utility is built as the estate grows and run as a business in its own right.
Today the site has very limited mains power and telecoms, and no mains water or sewage: it is tanks and tankers. Island electricity is costly and runs on imported fuel. So Port Elysium is its own utility supplier, and designs every network from the ground up with the best technology available now.
The utility businesses are Port Elysium operating companies (OpCos). Every home, hotel, berth and business is a metered customer, which makes the utilities a permanent income stream, not a cost of development.
